Shoppers in Irish Street on Saturday were treated to a series of outstanding musical performances during the first ever Live Acoustic Saturday at Stewart’s Music Shop. A great selection of local acts were given the opportunity to take their place on the specially built stage in the shop window during Saturday afternoon and the crowds who gathered to watch and listen certainly were not disappointed. Performers on the day included Rachel McGee and Marco Landi, Joe Girvan, Bronagh Broderick, Paul Hughes, Sara Crockrell and Ben Sans.
Speaking after the session, Brian Mallon said, ‘ We are delighted to support these fabulous local musicians by giving them such a great opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. The display of talent on show this afternoon has been amazing and has certainly proved just how much talent that Dungannon and Tyrone has to offer. Well done to all of the performers here today, we’re sure that many of them have great careers ahead of them and we look forward to stocking their CDs in the future.’
This is just the first in a series of planned acoustic sessions over the coming months and any budding performers who would like to take up this fantastic opportunity to showcase their talents in the future should contact Stewart’s Music Shop.
