Margo Arrives In Style to Stewart’s Music Shop

Margo O’ Donnell was signing copies of her new CD and autobiography on Saturday at Stewart’s Music Shop. Big crowds turned out to meet Margo and she had a special word for everyone. Margo has been celebrating 50 years in the music business this year and this exclusive CD signing was part of her celebratory year.

Known as “The Girl from Donegal” Margo met many old friends from years ago and stories were shared about nights in various dance halls all over Ireland, ranging from how cold it was one Christmas night in Carrickmore, to how hot it was in a summer marquee in Donaghmore because there were so many packed into it.

Johnny Fee ensured that The Girl From Donegal would arrive in style when he taxied her to the front door of Stewart’s Music Shop with his now famous Donkey and Trap. Throughout her long career Margo has always enjoyed meeting and greeting her fans, and her ability to recognise people and remember names was amazing, names of people who she had not seen for years came instantly to her as she met all those who had travelled to meet her.

One of the final engagements Margo will be doing in her Celebratory year is a Music Extravaganza in Armagh City Hotel on Tuesday 1st September in aid of Cuan Mhuire, a Charity that Margo has done much work for. Tickets are now on sale from Stewart’s Music Shop
